On February 24, 2017 the delegations of the State Civil Aviation Administration of Azerbaijan and Civil Aviation Authority of Djibouti have conducted meeting and negotiations in Baku.
According to the Decree #512 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated December 29, 2006 there was established the State Civil Aviation Administration (SCAA) – the authority on implementation of the state policy in the field of civil aviation.
On the proposal of the Israeli side the delegations of the aeronautical authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Israel have conducted negotiations on 26-27 December 2016 in Tel Aviv.
Both delegations have agreed the draft of “Air Services Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of State of Israel”.
Also delegations discussed the issues related to bilateral cooperation in the field of air transport and reached the arrangements on operation of the scheduled passenger and cargo flights of the designated airlines of both countries.
Representatives of airlines also participated in the meeting.
President of CJSC "Azerbaijan Hava Yollari" Jahangir Askerov and Director General of civil aviation of the State of Kuwait Yousef S. Al Fouzan on 16 November 2016 signed the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait concerning air services".
The delegations of the State Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority have conducted negotiations on 12 October 2016 in Baku.
As previously reported International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) held the 39th session of the Assembly from September 27 to October 7, 2016 in Montreal. The session, which is held every three years, dealt with current issues of international civil aviation and the ways of its development in the near future.
In accordance with the Decree # 26 of the State Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 01, 2016 the following Manuals are effected from July 15,2016:
- “Manual on aircraft safety on the ground”
- “Manual on aircraft safety on the air”
The delegations of the civil aviation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus have conducted negotiations on 09-10 June 2016 in Baku.
The delegations of the civil aviation administrations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Mongolia have conducted negotiations on 14-15 June 2016 in Ulanbaatar.
During 2015 employees of the State Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan obtained 32 certificates from seminars and training courses for professional development organized by the international civil aviation organizations.
