21 foreign airlines joint to the air transportation market of Azerbaijan during 2016-2018

Over the past two years, the following 21 airlines have entered the Azerbaijani aviation market: Ata Airlines, Montenegro Airlines, Etihad Airlines, Air Arabia, Nord Wind Airline, Ikar Airlines, Ir Aero, Al Naser Wings Airlines, Pobeda Airlines, Salam Air, KomAviatrans Aero, Jazeera Airlines, Wataniya Airlines (Kuwait National Airways), Mahan Air, Taban Air, Israir, Arkia Airlines, Flynas, Gulf Air, Nordavia Regional Airlines, Pegasus Airlines.

Since 2016, including current season “Summer-2018” , 16 new destinations have been opened: Al Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Tivat, Masqat, Riyadh, Dammam, Ufa, Krasnoyarsk, Samara, Trabzon, Zhukovski, Manama, Sophia, Alanya and the second airport in Kiev (Zhuliany).

39 air services agreements have been signed so far, as well as 34 agreements were agreed at the expert level. Since 2016 to the present day above-mentioned agreements have been concluded with 4 States (Afghanistan, Djibouti, Kuwait, USA) and the texts of agreements were agreed with 7 countries (Australia, Israel, Kenya, New Zealand, Mongolia, Thailand, Seychelles).
